Entry 03 — Services
Three indexed pathways into lawful investigative method.
Each session is built around your own subject wherever possible, with written material to keep afterward.
01
Public Records Pathway Session
A session on building an evidence trail entirely from openly available material. Covers which Kenyan public bodies publish which documents, how to request records through proper written channels, how long replies typically take, and what to do when a request is declined. The emphasis throughout is on lawful routes that will stand up to later questioning.
- — One 100-minute session
- — Written pathway document for one subject of your choosing
- — Sample request wording and expected timelines
02
Corporate and Registry Research
Guidance on tracing company ownership, directorships and filings through official registries and published returns. Covers reading a company search result carefully, understanding what a registry record does and does not prove, following a chain across several entities, and recording each step so the trail can be reproduced.
- — Two sessions of 75 minutes each
- — Worked example using your own subject
- — Written research log template
03
Long Investigation Method Support
Support across a lengthy inquiry built on documents, interviews and published data. Covers setting a testable question at the outset, keeping a record of what each piece of material establishes, recognising when the evidence does not support the original premise, and arranging findings so an editor or lawyer can follow the reasoning.
- — Four sessions of one hour over two months
- — Review of your working material at each stage
- — Evidence matrix format and written method note
